About the wine

Established in 2004, Signature Wines is an award winning, urban micro-winery located in Columbus, Ohio.

Signature Wines produces most of its wines using high quality grapes from California. Our award winning Port and our Rose' are made with Ohio grapes. Each step of the wine making process is controlled by us at our winery in Columbus.

Signature Wines adheres to the highest quality standards and gives special attention to even the most subtle details in the production of exquisite wines.  There is no mass production.

Every step of the wine making process takes time.  But we are willing to take that time in order to produce premium wines. Each of our wines has been aged for at least two years, and our Port is 10 years old.

 About the wine maker

Kelly Harvey is one of few female commercial wine makers in the United States.  Signature Wines is the only winery in Ohio with a female owner and award winning wine maker.

Kelly's appreciation of and interest in good wine, led her to begin making wine in a small winery she constructed in her basement.  After making wine for her family and friends and winning several awards from the Amateur Wine Makers' Guild, Kelly is now making her wines available to a wider audience through Signature Wines.

Kelly's 2001 Port was awarded a Silver Medal and her 2005 Zinfandel Blush was awarded a Bronze Medal in the 2011 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition.

Community Participation

Kelly's wine making artistry and expertise led to a request from the Ohio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to provide wine for centerpieces and to give to special guests, speakers, and award winners at the Chamber's Tenth Annual Gala.

Kelly was proud to donate the wine served at Directions for Youth and Families' Open Your HeART for Kids event in February of 2009.

Kelly is honored that Signature Wines was served at the October 2009 Wine Tasting to benefit Pater Noster House.

Kelly is delighted to be one of six sponsors of Makers of Momentum 2010 Ohio Women's Summit.

Kelly is pleased to have been one of seven Ohio wineries to participate in the inaugural event: Celebrate Ohio Food and Wine to benefit one of Ohio's treasures, the Ohio Light Orchestra, in February 2011.

Wine Events

In 2008, Signature Wines was one of only thirteen wineries to participate in the National City Ohio Wine Festival at the 2nd Street Market in Dayton, Ohio.

In 2009, Signature Wines was one of eight wine presenters at the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce's 12th annual Reds, Whites & Desserts.

In 2009, Kelly was invited to showcase her premium wines at the inaugural Columbus Wine Festival at the Franklin Park Conservatory.

Signature Wines was voted Best Pub, Tavern, or Deli in Columbus TasteCasting's 2009 Best of poll.

In 2010 and 2011, Signature Wines has returned to the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce's annual Reds, Whites & Desserts event.

In August of 2010, Signature Wines hosted its first annual Sangria Festival-delighting over 100 guests with icy cold sangria, tacos, cupcakes, and live music.

Signature Wines was one of 4 Ohio wineries pouring wine at the Wine/Mead Garden at the Lithopolis Honey Festival in September of 2010 and in September of 2011.

Kelly was delighted to pour her wines at The Columbus Food and Wine Affair Grand Tasting at Franklin Park Conservatory in 2010.

In January of 2011, Signature Wines hosted its first annual Winter Wine Festival. 80 guests shook off the winter blahs with mulled wine, Port, Italian meat loaf, vegetarian chili, and homemade brownies.
