Kelly H. - SIGNATURE WINES FOUNDER
In 2004, Kelly Harvey founded Signature Wines, an award winning, urban micro-winery located on the eastside of Columbus, Ohio.
Originally from Connecticut, Kelly Harvey earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Maine in Environmental Studies.
After graduating, Kelly worked as a field biologist before moving to upstate New York to found Bionomics, Inc., a biological pest control company.
In 1990, Kelly came to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University and received her Master’s Degree in Environmental Policy.
With a background in biology and a love of wine, Kelly decided to try her hand at making wine in a small winery she constructed in her basement at home.
After winning several medals from the Amateur Winemakers' Guild, Kelly decided to follow her passion and turn her winemaking hobby into a business.

In 2004, Kelly founded Signature Wines, an award winning, urban, micro-winery on the eastside of Columbus. As a micro-winery, Kelly made wine in small, 100-500 gallon batches.
Kelly was one of the few female commercial winemakers in the United States. At the time, Signature Wines was the only winery in Ohio with a female owner and winemaker.
Needing additional production space, in 2012, Signature Wines expanded from 1200 square feet to 3600 square feet. In addition, the winery was renovated to accentuate its urban, industrial character; creating a unique tasting experience and event space.
Kelly passed away unexpectedly in 2016. She is remembered and missed by many.
We at Signature Wines strive to carry on Kelly's legacy with her spirit and passion for winemaking and sharing the experience of wine with everyone here at the Winery.
